The Tattoo Tales Podcast was born while I was on the road, traveling from shop to shop and convention to convention. Along the way, I kept hearing incredible stories—stories full of wisdom, vulnerability, and experience—that I felt were too valuable to be lost. I wanted to preserve them not only for myself, but especially for the newer generation of tattooers, who could draw strength and inspiration from the doubts, struggles, and triumphs of those who came before them.

At the heart of the show is a simple motto: “Go to the roots, not to the fruits.” To truly understand tattooing—and creativity itself—we need to look at where things come from, the values and experiences that shaped them, and why they are the way they are today. That’s the spirit behind every conversation.
